Yesterday we baked yoghurt muffins. We had to bake the muffins so we can understand the concept of ratio.Ratio is comparing two ingredients/concepts.I am comparing sugar and flour, the ratio is

100g :  300g        

 1       :     3  

 1 yoghurt pot of sugar is to every 3 yoghurt pots of flour.

In this game ratio blasters,I scored 68% correct. To do better I need to practice my ratio. I also done 19 a minute so I think that is pretty good.The easy thing about the game that to find the simplest form for the fraction.The hard thing about the game was that there were two answers will be the same and one of them will be the correct answer.

Maths Chain

Today me and Dion made a chain made out of paper. First we
had to estimate the length of the chain and I guest 80 cm I was
really close.Our teacher gave us all Christmas colours it was very
messy and sticky.When we were finished the measurement of
our chain was 86 cm but if we pulled it it would maybe 96 but me
and Dion's were the least but at least we tried our best. Me and 
Dion figured that if we made our individual chain thinner it will be way 
long because the thinner the strip the longer the chain.

Passinal

In Game I had to figure out how many squares are in the rectangle. this game was called passional rectangles, I scored 10/10 it was pretty hard to figure out was it was a rectangle or not, it was a square and there were lots squares in the rectangle one was a 100 and some only had 10 or above.

Bright sunny day ready for sports camp. I had 1 big bag of cloths and a sleeping bag for sports camp. Sports Camp was held in Tauranga/Matamata totara springs. It was my first ever time going to Sports Camp I was really nervous when we got on the bus. All I was doing was playing on my phone and listening to my music, everyone else was eating junk food at the back of the bus I was eating my brownies Then suddenly Mrs Barrie snapped me eating my brownies I didn't know that you were not allowed to eat the bus then now I know that not to eat on the bus.

There were lots of other schools geared up for Sports Camp they looked really fierce.The other boys was keen to play rugby with them and maybe hurt them I thought it was crazy, I only came to have fun and try my best. I was thinking the first day was going to be boring because when I checked Mr Shaun bored I wasn’t in any sports so I waited for the next day where there was sports that I was in.

Next day there were entertaining sports like rugby and soccer. In soccer we drawed with Kiatao

it was a really tough game. In rugby we played against Te awamutu we lost because all our team thought about was to fight with them because they got smart to our players. They were tough as tigers it was really hard to beat them because they were still hard even though we got our act together.

On Thursday it was semi day we were in a lot of semi finals. The first semi was rugby we were playing belmont they were tall like giraffes but we still played. Even though we tried our best they still won but we didn’t care because there was other semis. Our next semi final was Volleyball we were playing against Te awamutu, I wasn’t in the Volleyball team but I was sitting on the grass watching our team and they won.

On the last day it was prize giving we got eight trophies from the sports and came 2nd oval.

After all the stress we went back to school proud with eight trophies. I really enjoyed Sports Camp maybe next time I will have more fun and trophies.

Foil Art

For this art I did a foil art. You can only use vived 

because if you use a whiteboard marker it will wipe

off so it was really easy to work with. On the foil I

drawed a flower, I used my imagination to do this 

art is was pretty hard to think of something to do.

Watched the RWC final on sunday moring

First we collected the data in the morning of a show of hands. Today we used online tools to do a double bar graph about who watched the RWC final on sunday morning. More boys watched the RWC than girls, I think because girls don't really watch rugby or that they didn’t want to wake up early in the morning. On friday we predicted the scores and Robin was the closest. The score was 17-34 to the All blacks and Robin got 17-32.

RWC Finals Predictions

Sunday morning there is going to be the RWC finals. All Blacks is going to face the Wallabies, All Blacks faced South Africa in the Semi finals and the All Blacks won and they are now in the finals.Australia also won their semifinals against Argentina, now there is big rival of two big countries. I reckon the score is going to be 20-18 to All Blacks so good luck All Blacks.

Auckland. Mine was about the landscape of lake Taupo. It was 

really messy when I was finished.

Math Problems

This game was about solving problems. It would 
give you a problem and you had to guess is it was
a multiplication, division,subtraction and addition.
I reached up to level three. The highest score in our 
class was Koliata. His level he got up to was 37.

Shakeout

Drop, Cover,Hold

The Shakeout is going to be held in New Zealand, It is going to occur on the 15 October. The Shakeout is Happening because for the past earthquakes around the world, Others has lost their lives because people never drop cover hold and that's why the Shakeout is happening. How the Shakeout happens is that every person or family that has sign up for the shakeout drops gets cover and holds whatever their holding on.

Dear Mrs Parkes

Thank you for helping us  to improve  our writing. I liked all your suggestions that you gave to our teacher.

I really enjoyed you teaching us attributes because I didn't understand the meaning of it until you explained what they were. Now attributes are my strength because I understand what it is. I also enjoyed writing the 4x4 poem. I was really excited because the 4x4 poem was about myself and it was really awesome describing myself.

Sometimes, I don’t edit my work but I know different types of sentences like complex, compound and simple. I will practice and practice editing my work so my writing is more interesting. Also, during the past term, my teacher has taught me how to edit my work but I really need more practice to find my mistakes and fix them up.

I appreciate all the help you have gave me.

Next I will rereading my work to practice editing.

All Blacks vs Argentina

All Blacks played Argentina this morning at 3.00am in the UK. I was really stressed that the All Blacks was losing in the first half but they came back fighting in the 2nd half.

First we rolled a dice, The yellow part on the first picture is three tenths because when you roll the single dice if it lands on a 3 and then you roll the second dice and if it lands on a 1/10 then it will be 3/10.

A mysterious creature is what my dad and I was searching for in the water. Me and my dad went snorkeling under water through the water jungle. As my dad told me there were Black Piranhas in the water jungle that were very viscous.

The Black Piranha is a deadly predator in the water jungle.The Black Piranha was a average size like a flounder. The Black Piranha had burning red eyes looking straight at the me, and having superb striking teeth. The Piranha looks very distinctive, And also a great incredible stocky body like rottweiler and very minmove lble like a shark. A tooth of a Black Piranha is the sharpest teeth in the world.

As the great Piranha swarm away I knew that we had no chance of catching the Black Piranha. But at least my dad and I had fun we will still come back

NZ Design

In Art We had to design that was based on NZ. First we had to draw our design on a paper for draft, Before we draw our design we choose a NZ design from the internet but add more detail so your design can be your own. Then you draw your design on a cup then outline to make it darker then you are finished.

Basic Facts

Today I was practicing on prototec. So I proved myself that I can always get better in my basic facts when I practice and practice. Today I got 40/40 and that means that I got 100 percent on prototec. I tried my best concentrating to get 100% in this test, I was nervous that I would of got 1 wrong but I focused and remembered what I learn’t.  

Hockey

Today in hockey Lydia a professional hockey player came to teach us hockey skills,We mainly learnt the safety techniques. The first safety rule is to keep the hockey stick below your feet, and if Lydia asks to put your hand up you don't put up the hand with the hockey stick. Also to bend your knees not your back. If you bend your back you will get hurt.

The Great Bird House

I woke up to a bright day, the sun was shining and I could hear the birds chirping .It was a great way to wake up. When I woke I walked down stairs. Looking out the window I saw a huge magical bird flying on the top of my house. I ran down stairs and saw my Grandad in the garage, The garage smelt like paint and chopped wood. My Grandad was  making a huge birdhouse for the great bird on the top of my house.

As Grandad was making the bird house I ran outside looking for the mysterious magic bird, but allof a sudden the bird came and fly past me I was frightened as a fish The bird was going wild. As the bird was going wild fortuitously I wasn’t near the bird because if I was near that vicious bird.The bird had the biggest claws I’ve ever seen.

So I called my grandad and he was trying to calm the bird down. Boom! the bird blew out fire spikes and nearly hit Grandad and with smoke coming out of his ears the bird looked hungry.

I ran with lighting speed and grabbed the biggest banana in the market and ran back home and the bird looked  at me and he ate the banana and then my Grandad grabbed the bird house and then the bird was so happy to have its time in the The great bird house and everyone lived happily ever after.
