Brooke Neal

Today, we had a visitor and she came from the 2016 Rio Olympics. Brooke Neal came into our class from the NZ olympic women’s hockey team. She inspired me to use the olympic values not only in sport and also through other things. Her role model was her older brother, he played for the NZ olympic men’s hockey team. My favourite goal of Brook was, “ I SHOW PRIDE”. I hope I can be like her. Represent my country, my family and whoever supported me through my path.

Basketball lesson

For this basketball lesson we learned everything to shoot accurate using different kind of techniques. I learned how to balance my feet so the ball can go straight and in. The aim was trying to hit the backboard so it gives you a better chance to get it in. There was also this word we learned and it was B.E.E.F  B- was for Balance, E- eyes on the target, E- for elbows facing the hoop well shooting and F- is for follow through. It was fun learning good skills we can use in a real basketball game.
